The term gas spring has been making its way into online newspapers lately, indicating its increasing relevance in various industries. Originally used for car trunks and hood supports, gas springs are now widely employed in machinery manufacturing, providing support for equipment accessories, shock absorption, toolbox covers, and even in the medical and fitness sectors. As its practicality becomes more recognized, its range of applications continues to expand. This raises the question: Does the increasing popularity of gas springs have any repercussions for traditional telescopic springs? We believe that it does have an impact, albeit not a significant one. Many gas springs are introduced as an innovative design aspect in certain company products. However, it should be noted that gas springs are relatively new and lightweight, making them convenient and labor-saving. Some organizations may still lack awareness of gas springs, which could restrict their design options. Despite this, the overall influence on traditional telescopic springs remains limited.
